In conjunction with MassHealth, Autism WelcomingSM offers training and certification for dental practices interested in better serving people with autism. Currently, the certification process is offered free of charge to dental practices, thanks to financial support from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services.
Autism WelcomingSM certified dental practices take extra steps to create an sensory-responsive and inclusive environment by educating staff and making simple but impactful accommodations to their location. Through Autism WelcomingSM, we are creating a more accepting and accessible community, leading to increased quality of life for people with autism and their families.
