First Massachusetts Public Library Certified as Autism Welcoming

Beals Memorial Library in Winchendon, MA has partnered with Autism Alliance to become certified as an Autism WelcomingSM organization. Its Autism Welcoming certification is the first in the state awarded to a public library. Athol Daily News describes the library's "Seeing Beyond the Spectrum" initiative and the sensory-responsive services available to library patrons.
